Where does the artificial moon idea come from?
How one neat coincidence about eclipses becomes a claim of engineering.

During a total eclipse the moon covers the sun almost exactly. The sun is about 400 times larger and also about 400 times further away.So the two look nearly the same size from here. That is an observed fact.
The moon always shows the same face to Earth. Its rotation and orbit take the same time, which is called tidal locking. The same thing happens with many other moons. It needs no special explanation.
The artificial-moon claim begins by refusing to treat these as coincidence.Seismometers left by the Apollo missions are often cited too.Vibrations that continued for a long time after an impact are read as proof of a hollow interior. The real reason is that the moon has almost no water and a shattered rocky surface, so vibrations take a long time to fade.
David Icke added the broadcasting image. The moon, he wrote, receives Saturn's signal and relays it to Earth. At this point no further observation is offered.A story is simply laid over the earlier facts.
Finding a coincidence striking is a normal reaction.Watch for the sentence that turns that reaction into evidence of design, and the join in the story becomes visible.
The first three are explained phenomena; the last box is the claim.
