What it claims

This page claims Jesus symbolizes the sun.In icons of Jesus, a sun-shaped halo is always drawn behind his head. The author explains that in Old English, 'sun' and 'son' share the same root.On this basis it argues 'the sun is the son of God.' It links the Passover custom of eating lamb to the sun's entry into Aries.

What is on the page

At left sits a photo of the Vatican's statue of Mary holding the sun.At right, more than ten icons of Jesus wearing a sun halo are arranged in a grid.In the center, a screenshot of an etymology dictionary links 'sun' and 'son' with an arrow.Below sit an image of sun rays radiating from behind Jesus, a photo of a lamb, and a zodiac wheel.

How it connects

It equates the sun and Jesus on the basis of halo imagery and the shared pronunciation of sun and son.
