Horus is the falcon-headed god of ancient Egyptian mythology.He is said to be the son of Isis and Osiris.The Eye of Horus (the wedjat) is ancient Egypt's leading protective amulet symbol.The symbol was drawn based on a falcon's eye and facial markings.Linking the eye's six pieces to the senses is a later popular interpretation, not something in the ancient texts.The myth of Horus's battle with Set is central to the Egyptian story of royal succession.
