Anatoly Fomenko is a Russian mathematician.He taught topology at Moscow State University.He is also a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.In the 1970s and 80s he published an alternative historical timeline called the 'New Chronology.' It cites statistical analysis and astronomical dating as its basis.He claims that most conventional historical records before the 11th century were fabricated.Historians and astronomers classify this as pseudohistory.
