Genesis 1 calls the sky the "firmament" (Hebrew raqiya).The firmament appears as a structure created on the second day of creation, separating water above from water below.Scottish Rite Freemasonry has a higher degree called the "Royal Arch." The Washington Monument is an obelisk in Washington, D.C.Romanesque and Byzantine cathedrals are capped with hemispherical dome ceilings.The Walt Disney Company's logo also uses a dome-like curve.
