The name gnostic texts give to the seven gods who made the world.In this narrative it is where the seven layers of heaven, the seven planets, and the body's seven chakras all overlap on the same number.

Hebdomad comes from the Greek word for 'seven.' In gnostic texts it names the group of seven world-creators, the Archons.They usually correspond to the sun, the moon, and five planets.The Quran states in eight verses that the heavens number seven.In Islamic cosmology, the seven heavens are drawn as layers stacked on top of each other.The Talmud has a passage in which seven layers of the underworld pair with the heavens.
